A day in the field

The newest member of our team, Urvisha, recently went out with a member of the field team for a day to discover how they work and to dive into one of our campaigns. Find out how she got on below.

 

I am Urvisha, the newest member of the account executive team at flexforce. This past week I was fortunate enough to get to spend a day out in the field with one of our flexforce reps. I learnt a lot on my day out in the field & felt I gained a lot of experience & understanding of what our field team does.

Kash has been working as a tactical rep for over 30 years now, so it was good to spend the day with her visiting stores and building shippers.

It was an awful, rainy day to be completing calls in Croydon, however we didnÔÇÖt let this stop us achieving. Like they say ÔÇ£when life gives you rainy days, wear cute boots and jump in the puddlesÔÇØ. In this case, we were going from store to store, building and siting shippers for our client.

My visit was a huge success with the store purchasing 18 units of stock and taking a shipper to help make the product look great.

Along the way, we met some friendly shop owners who made us feel very welcome and wanted to make a purchase from us. One of the best parts of the day was completing a visit myself with the support of Kash. I was nervous about this at the start but I was positive we would make this a successful call – especially as it was a big store and the opportunity is often bigger.

My visit was a huge success with the store purchasing 18 units of stock and taking a shipper to help make the product look great. I was proud of this accomplishment as we had to work hard to achieve the sale – I will be forever grateful for Kash’s charm!

Overall my experience in the field was hugely positive and I learned a lot. I saw how challenges can be overcome and the energy that our field team uses to power through the day and achieve great results.

I love the flexibility and variety of my work. Over the years I have established a great relationship with my retailers and we support each other on the various campaigns we do over the year. Being on the road it is hard to imagine working within an office environment, hence why I love what I do.
